Gatsby Band for an up coming event?... SO STOP LOOKING! Your Band is here! And before we go any further, check out this live video promo in a concert setting. The band are equally at home playing in an acoustic setting too. So making them perfect for outdoors and all other situations where an acoustic band is preferable.
A Gatsby Band can be used in a myriad of situations and that’s why the Wimbledon Tennis Championships use these groups. So do the Ascot Races and The Derby in Epsom. They have quite a few Gatsby Bands playing and so do the Henley Regatta. They are perfect for product promotions and store promotions, for Wedding receptions, Corporate Fun days and a Summer Garden Party.
What could be better in the background than the sounds of Vintage Jazz, from the era of the Roaring 1920s, as guest sip champagne under the British Summer Sun?
Our Gatsby Band has had years experience in London and beyond, playing for many high end clients such as Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, BP and The QE2 Cruise Ship. The Evening Standard, Canon and for the 2012 Olympics. Plus many Weddings, Birthday parties and anniversary celebrations. The musicians all have enviable CV’s with the top names in the British Jazz world and are chosen because of this reason just as much as for their delightful company. And there is their ability to entertain as well as their fabulous musicianship. For Gatsby Jazz Band Hire contact us here.
Repertoire. Well of course, what could be more important than hearing all the old tunes associated with a Gatsby Jazz Band? Here are just a few we will happily perform for you:
The Charleston, Ain’t She Sweet, Sweet Georgia Brown, Yes Sir Thats My Baby, Putting on the Ritz, You’re Driving Me Crazy, Dancing Cheek to Cheek, the Black Bottom and The Varsity Drag!
Costuming. Just as important is how your Gatsby Jazz Band dresses, because the way the band dresses is all part of the day. We can turn up in stripy blazers and or appear in tuxedos and wing collars for that “Cotton Club in Harlem” look. Do you want something a little more “Speakeasy Jazz” or “Prohibition Jazz” style? No problem then, so flat caps and braces go down a treat! Join in with your own Roaring 1920s outfit!
