Look no further, the Lindy Hop Band of your dreams is here! London based, Mississippi Swing Band offer the Holy Trinity of Lindy Hop Swing Dancing. Tempo, Tune Length & Repertoire. Coupled with the fact that we keep on pumping out the tunes, you have a great group for a Swing Dance, Jive Night of Lindy Hop.

Lindy Hop Band

A typical Lindy Hop Night goes something like this: Some tutors will take a class of new or newish swing dancers and work with a series of backing tracks.

The dancers will then get chance to practice their moves with a live Lindy Hop Band. This is usually for a couple of sets. Remember, a Swing Band is to all intents and purposes the same as a Lindy Hop Swing Band. It’s the chance for the dancers to try out what they have been learning. They need a steady dance tempo and a band sympathetic to their needs. Mississippi Swings whole ethos is based around giving the dancer what they want. Sure they put on a show, sure they like to entertain, but more than anything they know the most important reason they are there is to play for the dancers, get them up on the floor and then keep them there!

Swing Patrol are an excellent organisation. We cannot rate them high enough! They put on some fabulous nights of Swing, Lindy Hop and Jive. They have incredibly enthusiastic, skilled and energetic dance teachers!
