- Are you running an event where people will want to dance? There is usually only one answer to this. In 30 odd years of playing New Years Eve gigs EVERY SINGLE PARTY has culminated in dancing.
- What size of crowd are you expecting? The number of guests tends to dictate the size of the band. The larger the crowd the bigger the band. You don’t want a duo of guitar and sax entertaining 300 people. It just won’t work! for up to 50 people three musicians work well. For between 50 and 100 people a four piece jazz band hire will be perfect. For between 100 and 200 people a five piece jazz band is needed. Over 200 and six players would be most effective.
- What is your theme? Are you looking for a band that plays Speakeasy Jazz or Prohibition Jazz or Great Gatsby Jazz? Are you looking for a more Vegas like Swing Band to hire?
