I hired the Mississippi Swamp Dogs to perform at the Belgravia Classic Car Show. It was the first time we’d run the event, so I wanted a band who understood the brief. Not only did they understand the brief, but they exceeded everybody’s expectations. They performed all over the gardens, and also did a set in the marquee. With an event like this, flexibility is key, and nothing was too much trouble. I would have no hesitation in recommending them, and look forward to welcoming them back next year.

The Mississippi Swamp Dogs, in their “Speakeasy” guise and known as the Mississippi Speakeasy Four. What a great live band. They have been entertaining parties, 1920’s themed nights, Great Gatsby themed parties, charity balls and prohibition parties for many years and because of this are incredibly well established.  The band, situated in London and the South East, have also been a regular presence on the wedding reception scene, performing well loved classics. Beautiful brides sail by, greeting guests, champagne in hand!

The look and sound of the band add so much to the reception experience. The band can play acoustically and can therefore move from a rainy garden into a marquee or a building at a moments notice. For a more formal evening event the chaps look resplendent in tuxedos and wing collars and appear as a five or six piece, complete with drums for dancing.

Expect to hear classics such as: The Charleston, The Black Bottom,  Five Foot Two Eyes of Blue, Sweet Georgia Brown, Ain’t She Sweet and When You’re Smiling.
